This virtual presentation is for anyone seeking to feel more prepared, supported and informed about the road ahead. Participants will receive practical guidance on important conversations, planning ahead, and organizing key information so decisions are not left to guesswork. The goal is to empower you to approach life's later season with clarity and a sense of calm, while easing the burden of loved ones. 

 

Our presenter is Chris Palmer, author of Achieving a Good Death, A Practical Guide to the End of Life, will help to reduce the fear that often cloaks discussions about death and dying, and give the audience some of the knowledge and skills needed to achieve a peaceful and gentle death. After a career as a wildlife and conservation filmmaker, Chris is now a trained hospice volunteer and provides presentations to community groups on aging, death, and dying issues. Topics we usually do not want to discuss, but know are important when preparing for our future. 

 

The presentation will be virtual at your home and virtual in person at the Civic Center. Having both options allows those that do not want to attend in person to watch at home to get the same information. If Zoom is a challenge for you, then come to the in person event to watch it with other JVSO members.
